Ferguson is not just about systemic racism—it’s about class warfare, and how America’s poor are held back
There are actually pizza dough rolls under all that cheese, you just can’t see them.
I am having a nice big cold beer in celebration.
One of my old “tech leads” left the company today. He just gave notice yesterday. This makes me very happy. He was not a good engineer, and the company is better off without him. The company he is going to probably thinks he knows something about our graphics and remoting stack. He doesn’t know the first thing about it.
So I am being a big jerk and celebrating never having to see him again. I never claimed to be a good person.
Some of you are reblogging because you think its funny that programmers would talk to ducks. I’m reblogging because I think its funny picturing a programmer explaining their code, realizing what they did when they explain the bad code, then grabbing the strangling the duck while yelling “WHY WAS THE FIX THAT SIMPLE!? AM I GOING BLIND!”
AS A PROGRAMMER I CAN TELL YOU THAT THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT YOU FUCKING DO WE HAD TO BAN THE DUCKS FROM MY CLASSES BECAUSE EVERYONE WOULD FLIP THE DUCK OR THROW IT AT A WALL OR SOMETHING WHEN THEY FIGURED OUT THE PROBLEM IN THEIR CODE
I have never heard of this before. It would not be very useful past a small simple piece of code.
To those US “libertarians” who are being ideologically consistent and condemning what’s happening in Ferguson, please also take a moment to realize that this is a manifestation of the institutional racism that your ideology not only refuses to address, but at times seeks to even profit from…
Kittens together in the cat tree.
I couldn’t get a picture of Peachy being crazy earlier. Here is one of her napping instead.
I think this voice on the speaker phone is driving my cats crazy. They are all flipping out.
Working from home. On a phone conference. 3 Cats on desk.
When did this become OK? When did “protect and serve” turn into “us versus them”?
You have to love when Marines are shocked by the armament of the police.
